Private Parking
Secure private parking is available upon request and subject to strict terms — ideal for everything from motorcycles to high-value vehicles.
Below you’ll find important information on how to access and use the private parking area located at the rear of Drover’s Rest. For your safety and the security of all guests and vehicles, we kindly ask that you follow all steps and procedures exactly as outlined.Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
Please note: The gates can only be opened from inside the property. You'll need to enter the house first, unlock and open the gate from the inside, and then bring your vehicle into the yard.
A lock is fitted to the large handle on the right side of the gate. The key is stored in the ABUS key safe located on the wall of the sheds, just to the right of the black metal door. The code for the key safe is: 1801.
The lock is generally easy to open, but it does require a small technique. The images below illustrate how to do it.
Once opened, the gates must be secured as shown in the images. Occasionally, strong gusts of wind can sweep through the yard, causing the gates to swing unexpectedly — posing a risk to both people and vehicles. Please take care to fasten them properly to avoid any accidents or damage.
A Few Final Notes on Exiting the Property
Please note that you can only exit the yard by turning left. The road can be busy, and the turn onto it is partially blind, so extra caution is advised. If you need to head in the opposite direction, a safe and easy place to turn around is at the school next to Griffin’s Bar and Restaurant. For security, please ensure the gate is closed and locked at all times. CCTV is in operation for your safety and peace of mind.
